Boasting what’s been called an embarrassment of riches where geography and climate are concerned, California’s Central Coast coaxes fruit to life with abundant sunshine and cool coastal breezes.  Warmth from the sun ripens Chardonnay and Merlot to optimum ripeness levels during the day, while cool evenings and morning fog ensure the fruit remains bright and balanced. Lively wines with depth of flavor and elegant character are the superb result, something Emma will share as she raises her glass to yours with a knowing smile.  

Vineyards for our wines are located in Santa Barbara County (Chardonnay) and Paso Robles (Merlot), two outstanding sub-regions on the Central Coast.  Just north of the gracious colonial enclave of Santa Barbara, our estate Chardonnay vines develop lush citrus fruit flavors enhanced by oak aging.  Further up the coast, our Merlot thrives in the well-drained soils of Paso Robles, a superlative region for Bordeaux varieties.  Aging our Merlot on French oak complements its natural berry flavors with appealing spice notes and a velvety texture.
